		Dr. Manning Marable, director of the Institute for Research in African-American studies at Columbia University in New York, will speak about "Race, Ideology and Political Power" at Tuesday morning's convocation.
		Construction changes parking situation
		The construction process for Wartburg's new residence hall is well under way. Students should start to notice changes on the construction site and will continue to do so for months to come.

		A Wartburg student reported to Campus Security and the Waverly Police that she was assaulted with the intent of robbery early Tuesday morning on campus.
		Studying abroad?
		Students interested in Wartburg's Venture Education program met at the Diers House Sunday night to discuss information about studying abroad. Students had a chance to talk to previous sojourners about their experiences in other cultures and learned about the variety of study abroad opportunities and programs available to students at Wartburg.
