Background and Research Interests:
I have worked in the Vogel Library for 8 years as Instructional/Reference Librarian. I also serve as Teacher Librarian half days at St. Paul’s Elementary School in Waverly. Previously I served as a K-12 media specialist and, before that, a fifth grade teacher. I am fortunate to be able to match the two parts of my work so that both parts benefit. I understand where many of the college students have come from educationally and can see what skills the elementary students will need down the road. I especially enjoy helping education students find the books and other resources they need as they prepare units.
While attending graduate school at UNI, I was a graduate assistant for Library Science department.
