Sitting here beside myself,
I wander in to my thoughts
Which leads me to ponder my life.
I compare it to an ocean, and the small erratic vessel,
To which there is a purpose
Unbeknownst to the captain of the mind,
  Will drift in open waters,
further from the security of the shores,
Till the path of dreams is
      discovered
              and followed.
For there are choices to be made,
    while swaying back and forth,
And when the storms of change and challenge
come and knock us off course
Do we sink with the ship or
Swim to the safety of the loving arms
          That awaits us?
