Nero

Periodots glimmer in the cavern of my mind,
deep set and piercing the armor of my heart.
A ßowing rainbow envelops the fortress that is me,
breaking down the defenses with a single smile;
a smile that could sail a thousand ships,
a smile whose warmth melts the very center of hell.
Dreams, of a gentle caress, sustain me in this my fantasy,
of arms shielding me for the harsh reality of my emptiness.
Kind words echo in my long deaf ears,
shattering the empty shell that was once called my name,
with the thunderous ringing of syllables.
