Patrick M. Mullen's Experience
Work Experience
Vector Marketing (Cedar Falls, Iowa)
Cutco Salesperson
I worked at this position during the
summer of 2007. In this job I was trained several
days about the ways to effectively sell Cutco Cutlery to individuals in their
homes.
Being a salesperson is very interesting and challenging at the same time. I had
to make
sure that I understood all of the products that I was selling and give a
persuasive
presentation to the customers to influence them into buying the cutlery. Being a
Cutco
Salesperson allowed me to make several new contacts that will be beneficial in
the
future.

Wartburg College Athletic Department (Waverly, Iowa)
Student Assistant
I have been working for the athletic department
the entire school year. As a student
assistant I helped out with volleyball and soccer games in the Fall by shagging
balls at
each of these events. In the Winter, I have worked at basketball games and
wrestling
meets. During each of these I normally run the scoreboard or clock. This
position has
been exciting and beneficial to me because I have made many new contacts and
have
been able to attend most of the home Wartburg athletics.

I worked as a Produce Team Member the last two
summers. My duties in this position
included stocking shelves, racks, and tables with new produce and merchandise

I also assisted guests with various questions and or concerns that they had.
This job

work
ethic everyday.

P & J Equipment (La Porte City, Iowa)
Grain Bin Constructor
I worked on a crew that assembled and built grain
bins during the summer three and four
summers ago. This job was very different from many of the other jobs that I have
had
over the years. This has been the only "blue collar" job that I have had. Heavy
lifting
and working outside all day in the constant heat was very demanding, but it
helped me
build character and realize that I can push myself harder than I once thought.
Being a
Grain Bin Constructor taught me great teamwork skills as well as being an
effective
problem solver.
