Joel Hanson's Activities and Volunteer Work
Football
I am currently involved in the Wartburg College Football Team. I went to Iowa
Central for a year and a half and transferred to Wartburg in the Winter of 2007.
I am part of a success Junior class that has 25 student athletes. During the
season, being an collegiate athlete takes an enormous amount of time and
commitment. We have practice 5 days a week for 2-3 hours and in the offseason we
have workouts four days a week for 2 hours.

Lutheran Services in Iowa
In the fall of 2007 I volunteered at Bremwood. Bremwood is a boy's and girl's home in Waverly, IA. Myself and seven other guys go there twice a week for two hours to participate in activities with the kids.

Hobbies
During the summer when I am not training for football, I enjoy training for RAGBRAI. RAGBRAI is a week-long bicycle tour across the state of Iowa. It is normally around 500 miles. I have ridden in it for the last 4 years and plan on doing it as long as I am able.
