Hometown and Family
I
grew up in Strawberry Point, a small town in northeast Iowa. I
come from a family of six with three older brothers and two
sisters-in-law. I have two nephews, Will (4) and Owen (1.5), who
keep me busy running around playing games whenever I see them.

High School
While
I attended high school I was involved in numerous activities including:
I
also worked at Strawberry Foods and Deli throughout my high school
career and at Holy Grounds, a small coffee shop, my senior year. I
loved being involved in a lot of different activities because it allowed
me to explore my talents and grow in them.

College
I am a third year Business Administration major
with concentrations in management and marketing. This is very
important to me because I have always valued education, creativity, hard
work, and dedication.

Hobbies
I enjoy doing a lot of different activities in my free time. My
main hobbies are:
I also love musicals--Wicked, Rent, Chicago,
and Phantom of the Opera to name a few--and watching theatrical works.
I love being outdoors and being surrounded by nature (one of the reasons
why I worked at
EWALU
for the past
two summers). I love being around people and being able to make
people laugh as well as having serious conversations with them. |

Career Goals
I have several ideas
for what I’d like to do after I graduate from
Wartburg College.
I would like to explore careers in both of my concentrations
(management and marketing) because they are both very challenging and
interesting. I
am mainly interested in retail and food service because they are both
fast-paced, fun, and people oriented.
My long-term plan is to
one day own my own coffee shop--hopefully sometime in the near future :
