Wartburg Soccer:

I have been a varsity starter for the Wartburg Women's Soccer Team since 2005.  As a freshman, I was the lead scorer and was named to the 2005 first All-Conference team.  As a sophomore, I was the lead scorer and named to the 2006 second All-Conference Team.  So far during my junior year, I have been selected to be on the top team of ESPN The Magazine/CoSida academic all-district squad and have been named the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) player of the week on several occasions.  I was also named to the 2007 first All-Conference team as well as being selected as the 2007 IIAC Conference Player of the Year.   Being a student-athlete has taught me discipline and has forced me to perfect my time management skills.

Service:

I have participated in Habitat for Humanity in Waverly, Iowa.  On three different occasions, I had the opportunity to assist in the demolition and clean up process of abandoned houses.  The land was being cleared in order to make room for the brand new houses that were being built for needy families.  As more opportunities arise, I plan on participating in more service trips during my next two years at Wartburg.
