Wartburg College Softball As a member of the Wartburg Softball team I have learned the meaning of commitment. We spend 42 out of 52 weeks of the year training, and the other 10 weeks are spent thinking about softball. This has taught me to trust my teammates, my coaches, as well as my abilities to get schoolwork and other things accomplished in a timely manner. I have learned to capitalize on the time and talent that I have because not everyone is blessed with the opportunity to be a college softball player.

American Marketing Association The AMA chapter at Wartburg is in it's second year of existence. I am currently in the role of social coordinator, which allows me to work with fundraising and with the speakers that we bring in on a bi-weekly basis. Through AMA I have been about to meet other students interested in marketing and had the opportunity to apply what I am learning in the classroom. One example of this is we had the chance to promote other organizations on campus, working with them like clients. AMA also developed, processed, and sold koozies at our recent homecoming celebration. |
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee After my freshman year I was nominated to be a member of the Wartburg SAAC. Our SAAC program does a lot of work with local service organizations and has started two new programs for the promotion of athletics on campus. One program is called Adopt-a-team. This program partners two teams on campus gives them a chance to get to know and support each other on a deeper scale. As a representative for the softball team I am responsible to tell my teammates and coaches of upcoming events.

| Fellowship of Christian Athletes FCA has allowed me to meet other athletes across campus. It is a chance for us to get together and help each other through our struggles. Through FCA I have had the opportunity to give devotionals and lead different types of service days.

Junior High Small Group Leader CHAOS (Christ Has All Our Solutions) has taught me to be myself and to accept everyone where they are. The girls in my small group are all very vulnerable and walking them through their junior high years has been a very rewarding experience. CHAOS has also taught me the importance of sacrifice and commitment toward others. |
Phi Beta Lambda Getting involved in the Wartburg business club has allowed me to meet other business majors from colleges around the state. It has also shown me what the business world is doing and steps I need to take to best prepare myself for a quality post-college experience.
