                     About Me

I grew up in the Amana Colonies which is a thriving community founded by religious faith and community spirit. I enjoyed growing up in small town where everyone knows each other. It gave me the chance to learn the values of lending a hand when needed and the importance of friends and family. I was also given the chance to volunteer at many community events. While living in Amana I was employed at the Amana Colonies Golf Course. This job gave me hands on experiences with customer service.

I graduated from Clear Creek Amana high school in 2005. Throughout high school I ran cross country and track. At a young age these sports taught me true dedication and made me quickly figure out effective time management.

I am currently a third year at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. I will be graduating in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management and a Leadership minor.

Wartburg has given me many opportunities which have helped me define my goals. I was able to travel to Denver Colorado for a week during May Term sophomore year for a Customer Service class. This trip made me quickly love the workings of a larger city. This upcoming May Term I am going to Chicago with my Bank Management class. Wartburg is also giving me what I think to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by allowing me to attend Wartburg West this upcoming summer to gain an experiential learning experience in an urban setting. Here I will be able to pursue a finance related internship in which I will be able to develop personal and professional skills.
