I attended Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa. I was
involved in Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America,
National Honor Society, and baseball. I assisted in leading the
team to our first state appearance in 24 years during my senior season.
During high school I also participated in a wooden bat league for my home
town of Rickardsville. I am now majoring in Finance at
Wartburg
College, and I intend to graduate after only three years. I played
Wartburg Baseball for my first two years but an elbow injury has
ended my career. I was on the team that won the tenth and the
eleventh straight
IIAC Conference Titles. The fact that my elbow is injured led me to
the opportunity to overload my classes and graduate in three years.
I am graduating in May.
I was born in the small town of Sherrill, Iowa in a
farming community. My parents moved to their current residence of
Rickardsville, Iowa when I was two.
Rickardsville is a small town of
about 160 people. I have lived all my life on a
farm, and it has taught me many things. Living on the farm has taught
me how to work hard and responsibility. I was also taught
responsibility by being the oldest of seven kids. I have one brother
and five sisters, and my youngest two sisters are twins.
